I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a bit about myself. I’ve been a lover of dogs since I was a child, so let’s just say 30 years or so. Over the years the idea of breeding dogs was always at the forefront of my mind. I believe it was a matter of timing. For 13 years I had a loving Golden Retriever named Savannah. She was the most wonderful dog and a true member of our family. When she passed away, my husband and I knew we could not be without a canine companion. Our family was empty without our faithful dog.
We made the decision to look at another breed, this time focusing on labradoodles. I did an enormous amount of research into the breed; sizes, coat types, and temperament. By the end of it all, I was in love! They have low shedding allergy friendly coats, although I’ve heard them called no shedding, everything sheds, we do, and dogs do. It’s really how they shed. We virtually have no dog hair on our furniture or rolling around in balls on our floor, and we have 3-4 dogs around us all the time! It’s quite different than when we had our Golden Retriever.
After purchasing, Duncan, who was our first labradoodle and is a neutered male, my desire to breed really took hold and I made the decision that it was time to do what I’ve always dreamed. Being a breeder is such a wonderful “job” because everyone I talk to is so happy and excited to bring a new puppy into their human family. It’s so rewarding to see the faces of these families. I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to be doing what I love, and I thank you for choosing my puppies for your family!
